An Update and some Recs

Yes, I'm updating this journal. Doesn't mean I'll be any more regular though. :-) Actually, I've written and half-written a few ficlets since the last post, which i could probably bring over here. I'll leave that for another time though, seeing as I'm supposedly hard at work on sections of PotterFicWeekly 100, AKA MasterFicTheatre - A Retrospective (AKA OTN - AS&F, though that probably makes less sense to you. Bwaha).
Nevertheless, I figured this place could use dusting off a bit (as could my computer itself. Why must electronic equipment attract dust so quickly?), and also, I have to bring this up: I'm a comic character now! Of course, I'm the equivalent of an extra and will likely never be seen again, but it's still pretty cool. The comic itself is quite interesting too; it's sort of an alternate history detective story, following the intrepid Inspector Tozo and certain other players around Nova Venizia. We still don't know entirely what's going on, but there are certainly plots within plots.
While I'm on the subject, I believe I'll recommend another comic I came across just today, by the name of Cealdin; the first comic is here. The king of Ryn has been assassinated, and now his eldest son has to assume the throne, while also dealing with the fact that the populace is muttering that he was behind it himself. Unknown to him, one of his father's own Lords seems to have a hand in the rumours, and quite probably the death as well. As of this writing we've never seen his face. It's a fantasy setup, but based around early Norse and Celtic cultures rather than the somewhat more usual medieval, and the art is really quite good.
Well, there are more comics I could post about, seeing as I read far too many myself (I've also just discovered a few photocomics, which are quite neat if done well), but I think I've gone on long enough, considering this was meant to be brief and I already had to retype most of it.
